Artist's Description

About Terry Taylor
I'm a native Californian inspired by the West's hillside oak savannas, coastal vistas and images of local flowers and animals, some with a whimsical touch. I paint in both acrylics and watercolor using a warm palette and lots of color and have won a number of awards for my work. I studied fine arts at Sacramento City and Alan Hancock Colleges and in community settings with local artist instructors. I live in the small town of Lompoc, where painted murals adorn many downtown buildings and where the artistic scene thrives with the Lompoc Valley Art Association. In addition to my work with the LVAA and exhibiting in the Cypress Gallery, I write the monthly column "A Walk Through the Cypress" for the "Lompoc Record" local newspaper. ...
